Rafa again denies interest in Joaquin
Rafa has found himself again denying stories linking the Reds with a January swoop for Joaquin. Some reports have suggested that Rafa called Real Betis to let them know that he has no intention of signing the Spanish International winger to try and end the speculation. This is what Rafa said about the situation: "The last time we spoke about Joaquin people were saying I was trying to sign him.
"I denied it but two days later they said it again, and threw in Cisse, but it is not true."
I will no longer be posting any stories about Joaquin because he clearly won't be coming to Liverpool. Although it is sad to see that no move will be made as he is the ideal player for our problem position. Anyway we have Luis Garcia and he is keeping Joaquin out of the Spain team at present.

Well you never know what is going to happen in Jan,this might be a way of keeping the transfer on the low down so it doesnt drum up the fee,as we are just fans we dont know what is happening behind the scenes at anfield and what they are planning for the transfer window,how many people knew about the simao transfer before it almost happened?

Joaquin is too expencive, lack defensive qualities and is no team player. Also remember that Garcia was picked instead of Joaquin for Spain just now (and made that brilliant hattrick). No need for another spanish winger on out right side, we already got the best one they have. :D
Joaqin did plenty of tracking back last night mate.
He had a quiet game, but he still worked hard.
i agree.. joaquin would be a fantastic aquisition to our right side. garcia is good, but only in europe or for his country- a bit like how baros was. hes def not a winger. this is what liverpool def need. At least 1 world class winger to take on the opposition and get behind the defence to supply crouchie with some goals!!
