Traore Injury Blow

We have lost our only defender with genuine pace.

Liverpool have today confirmed that Djimi Traore is likely to miss the first month of the Premiership season after medical results confirmed a thigh strain.
The Mali international - who signed a new contract at Anfield in the summer - picked up the injury aginst Bayer Leverkusen in a pre-season friendly last month and is not expected to return until early September.

We are all used to injury problems from last season, lets hope this is the only one.
