Djib ready to sacrifice himself for team's benefit

It looks like Djib may have to settle for a place on the right as Rafa favours the 4-5-1 formation with Peter Crouch upfront. Fortunately Djib is showing a great attitude, as usual, and will do what is requested:
"I love to play. But the boss can't put 20 players on the pitch so someone has to be on the bench and at the moment it's me. I accept it. I'm not frustrated.
"It is not my position on the right, but if I have to play there for the team I'll do it.
"All our strikers are different. Peter [Crouch] and Nando (Fernando Morientes) are good in the air, Flo likes to run with the ball and the good thing for me is I offer something unique because of my speed.
"The boss hasn't said why he isn't choosing me, but we do talk and have the normal relationship of a player and coach."
Personally I would love to see Djib feature alongside Crouch up front. The pace with Crouch's height would pose opposition defences lots of problems.
Please discuss.

I believe the problem is not in the system. The problem is in the players and the coach. At the moment both our wingers that are supposed to support our lone striker (Crouch) aren´t supporting him as they should. So far Cissé would be a better option instead of Crouch in the 4-5-1 system but personally I´d like to see us play 4-4-2

what nonsense the person above is saying.

its nothing to do with formation, thats a lazy excuse that all fans (inc LFC fans) are using this season to compensate for results no goin in their favour.

we won CL with this sytem. Crouch may be a target man who can head a bal(though he miss a frickin easy chance that littlie luis scored with in the Super Cup.)but can do nothin else apart from put up his twiglet arms in the air for another long ball to be sen his way.

we have the strongest midfield in the league, but all 4 defenders jus lump it forward and bypass them.

we need kewell on the left and cisse on the right, then we cna have better dimension becaus ebolo is pants.

this team is depressing for a fan.

i'm off to watch La liga.

We should definatly play djib much more he is scoring for us (supercup and penalty) and for france. His confidence should be up and that is when he should be given a run in the team and starting. He should also play him alongside crouch in games then we can play the ball in the air to crouch who can hold it up or flick it on or along the ground behind defences to djib with his speed. Best of both worlds!

I cant see why the system would preclude us from playing crouch and Cisse up front. Garcia played nearly the whole season on the right of midfield, or on the left. Pongolle is showing promise on the right...why not leave those two on the wings and play cisse through the middle.

Crouch's flicks and intellegent play all round will give cisse the chances he needs to get scoring, I dont think we will see him play against Chelsea though...but maybe in the league at home Rafa will use him.

As for those who are slating either the manager or the system...you really need to get a grip. We won the CL with that system and with lesser players...we scored 25 goals in preseason and are currently unbeaten. Another trophy to boot, what exactly do you want?! Give it time
