Dowie invites Red's bid for Soares
Following our reported interest last week in Palace youngster Tom Soares, Ian Dowie has encouraged us to make a move in the transfer window.
Dowie said: "I hope they have deep pockets. It's nice that people are taking a look at your players. It's good, it means we're doing something right."
Soares was arguably the best midfielder on the pitch in our recent League Cup defeat to Palace and would be a welcome addition to our squad.

Sorry to upset you but Soares is not interested in leaving Palace as reported on our site yesterday.
So it looks like he will be part of our team when we beat you again as on the last 3 occasions at Selhurst.
Euro Chumps rather than Champs.
£7m for Crouch what a joke !!!!
soares will be retired in the time it will take Palace to get promoted again.....
He will be retired before Liverpool are European Champions again,or Crouch justifies what you mugs paid for him.
AJ has more talent injured than a fit Crouch.
If you are so great how come so many players become unhappy and leave.
Merseyside dominance is history, you will never win the Premiership as London Clubs are on the up including Palace so watch out as foreign players are going out of fashion when the new UEFA rules take over on limiting the number of foreigners in the team.
At least we support our local team with pride whether they win or lose and dont try and poach youth players from other teams who grow with the club and then understand loyalty, unlike your foreign one season has-beens who have no identity with what it means to play for your local team.
By the way why did Owen leave ???
Kiraly, sorondo, Riihilahti, speroni, torghelle- good local lads mmmmmm....
one seanon wonders ?? did someone say Andy Johnson
Palace dominating along with the London clubs ??? talk about a stretch of logic.
Owen left because of greed and missed winning the European Cup then came back with his tail between his legs looking for a game. Freddie Shepard is maybe the only chairman in Football as incompetent as Simon Jordan. Palace would still be in the premiership in they had bought Dean Ashton last year instead of messing about. Peter Crouch may or may not succeed but on ething is for sure Palace fans will have to enjoy their minor one-off victories for many years to come
The only regular first team player out of your list is Kiraly and by the way the team which knocked you out of the Cup was not our first team but mostly reserves.
All Benitez could bleat was how well Liverpool played and not the fact that you were outplayed for long periods of the match by a better team who wanted it more than your overpaid has-beens.
The reason Crouch was heckled is because he started a fight when playing for Southampton at Selhurst last season which resulted in Sorondo being unfairly sent off, but you must admit he is crap and not the sort of striker you need as his stunning goal tally of none shows.
Dream on that Liverpool will win anything this season.
AJ for England to replace the freak show.
"Success is how high you bounce when you hit the bottom".
Since defeat by palace,:
Liverpool 2 - 0 West Ham
Liverpool 3 - 0 Anderlecht
Liverpool 2 - 0 Aston Villa
Since won over liverpool:
Palace 2 - 2 Crewe
Palace 2 - 3 Sheff Utd
I guess palace got blinded by their one win.
We like to win cups to fill our massive trophy room, but i guess right now carling cup is just not our priority.
So please get back to me, when you're in the premier league, but until then, just leave a message.
And i didnt even mention the comparison to european success....'coz you dont have any!!
