Hamann highlights the importance of Gerrard

Gerrard seems to enjoy Champions League qualification if you add the goals he scored against Graz last season he has scored 9 in 6.
Hamann admits Gerrard's goals have been crucial for the Reds over the last few weeks and he insists the skipper is setting the example for everyone else to follow over the coming campaign. "Steven has been unbelievable so far and every time he gets the ball he looks like he's going to score," Hamann told Liverpoolfc.tv. "We hope that continues for the rest of the season. "One of his biggest strengths is making goals and scoring goals and it looks like he's in top form already this season. "The main thing is that we're successful as a team and it doesn't really matter who gets the goals. Obviously, though, we want to score more goals from midfield to take some of the pressure off the strikers and Steven is leading the way for us so far." Hamann, meanwhile, is warning Liverpool to guard against complacency tonight when they take on CSKA Sofia in their latest Champions League test. He said: "At this stage of the competition there are more quality teams around and so we know we face a tough game tonight. "They will be better than TNS and Kaunas and so it's important we go into the match with the right attitude. Hopefully we can get the right result tonight and then finish the job off at Anfield. "We want to go into the new league season on Saturday in a confident frame of mind and if we can play well in Sofia then that will set us up nicely for the match at Middlesbrough."
I think we need others to score particularly Morientes to take the pressure off Gerrard and stop the ridiculous comments about us being a one man team.
