Is Cisse off?

After Cisse's excellent supersub Supercup performance Rafa hinted that he would welcome offers for Cisse:
"We have met and talked about the rumours but we have not had offers," said Benitez.
"After this game and his goals maybe we will have a lot of offers.
"We must enjoy this trophy and we have five more days for talking about these other things."
Personally I would be very upset if Cisse was sold at this stage, even to make way for Owen. Cisse has overcome his horrific injury wonderfully well and has yet to be given a proper chance to prove himself in the premiership. He is only 24 and has the right type of attributes to be a great success in English football. Unfortunately, due to our lack of squad depth in certain areas, he has been played out of position on the right wing at times.
Please post your comments on the Cisse situation.

i don't think we should sell Cisse. He works hard and his pace as seen in the supercup is valuable. He deserves this season to show us his talents after that terrible injury.

We should definetly keep Cisse and forget cry baby Owen. If he loves Liverpool that much why did he leave? To win medals Like the Uefa cup and the Super cup with Real Madrid. Now he wants to come back, Well Boo Hoo.

Cisse showed the good and the bad in his game the good electric pace and goals but he also showed when one on one no composure and a ball hit straight at the keeper admittedly he pounced to score with the lose ball but it was there to see we still dont know if it is Rafa's way of keeping all his strikers on there toes or if he is looking to move him on

we should keep cisse and sell morientes, hes just not good enough, but i dont think rafa wants to look like hes made a bad signing

Cisse must say. He hasn't fully developed yet, I'd hate for him to leave and mature into a superstar somewhere else.

BTW Owen is one dimensional, Cisse offers many more possibilities. Tighten up on his finishing and he'll be a legend

Owen's one dimension of putting the ball in the back of the net is very important. With both Xabi & Gerrard playing him through he could score loads of goals.

I think Cisse should stay and Morientes should go. The man has no heart for the premiership. I worry a little about Rafa's protective attitude to his compatriots. I mean, why was Garcia kept on for the full match when he gave away more balls than JJB sports on a promotion drive?

Cisse has the Liverpool mentality of defying the odds unlike Morientes who seems to do disappearing acts every now and then.

What is going on at anfield at the moment?. The players we are being linked with at the moment seem more suited to a team that has just won promotion rather than one that has just won its fifth european cup. Letting Cisse (one of the more exciting players in the squad) go would be a disasterous decision and one that could come back to haunt us in the future. It worries me that Rafa seems to prefer big lumbering strikers like carew and now crouch than those with a bit of flair and pace. Cisse and Owen anyone?

Agreed, however after last season we must trust Rafa and nothing had been finalised yet.

i love to morientes go and we should buy owen and kuyt if there is enough money by super star big name winger and centrehalf sorry benitez had bad signing of morientes not producing which he has produced for monoco.

what worried me is that Rafa has only 16.5 M left to bring quality CB + RW. No money for Owen and can only be financed by sale of Cisse. Net investesment in new players this so far has been only 20 M - 12 M(sales of players)= 8M. this ridicilous for a team like LFC to have so little money for new players. We have 25 M(CL)+ 15 M(EPL TV right)+ 15M (Carlsberg deal)+ 15M Next CL campaign + sales of players 12 M. We have income of this year 82 M.

WE SHOULD START AN ANTI-CISSE-DEPARTURE CAMPAIGN ON EVERY FORUM AVAILABLE..it is sickenning to hear that Benitez is even considering to listen to offers...The amount of time that he has offered Morientes to prove himself without success is a million times that he has offered Cisse..Let us call for Cisses' stay..
