Pongolle denies transfer reports

Florent Sinama Pongolle has stressed his intentions to stay at Liverpool and battle for a 1st team place. There have been all types of speculation in the last few days of him being unsettled and about to join Lyon or Aberdeen on loan.
He said: "There is no truth whatsoever in this story. There has been no contact and it's not going to happen. I have no desire to leave this club. I am very happy here." After seven months out with a knee injury the French striker was delighted to be back in the first team spotlight against the Bulgarian champions and added: "My aim now is to carry on working hard in training and push hard for a regular first team place."
I am ecstatic that Flo will be staying as, alongside new boy Sissoko, he is a very promising young player who can reach the highest level.
