Rafa confident ahead of draw
Rafa the Gaffer has spoken ahead of the draw:
"The most important thing for us was to get into this group stage. We have done a good job in the qualifying rounds. That is where our defence of the trophy began but we will come up against more difficult teams now," he told Liverpoolfc.tv shortly before flying out to Monaco for Friday's Super Cup Final against CSKA Moscow. "I do not mind who we are drawn against. Most of the teams at this stage will be dangerous and seeing as we have no influence over whom we may play it is not worth worrying about. "There's been a lot of talk about playing Chelsea again but for me this is not a problem. The good thing about playing English clubs in European competition is that it cuts down on the travel."
Why should we care who we get drawn against. Bring them on I say we are the European Champions!

champions of europe?...more like chumps of europe. Liverpool's heyday is gone, it finished 20 years ago. and yer never gonna get it back again unless you stop signing second rate, shite players. morientes? cisse? sissoko? kewell? nunez?....sorry but they're all shit - look at your fantastic performance against sofia.. all second rate and they got pissed on. call yourself title contenders? you need to buy players which are at the top of their game now and not 2-3 years ago, before their previous club bought someone better and left them on the bench all season. alternatively, you could just support a good team like the mighty Tottenham Hotspur. We know that we are a top six team on the same level as you scousers (its true), but we don't go around pretending like we are club football's answer to brazil. just cos you lot won the champs league, which still astounds me, that don't mean anything. in fact, the result against milan was the only game in which there were some glimpses of a liverpool side which looked half decent. the rafaloution, i think you lot call it...... we humans call it horseshit!!
Eddie Davids the Scouse killer...next showing sept 10th.
I am not surprised you have made your comment anonymously as anyone, even Tottenham supporters, would be ashamed of writing such a pile of shit.
By the way the Rafalution will be taking the Premiership by storm shortly.
that's my name. mr anon y. mous.......don'take the piss. what sort of name is with wolves?
Let's face it. Even if I were to sit on the fence, there's just something lacking about Liverpool. Sure they did well at AC Milan, good on them for their fighting spirit. But their scrappy win against Chelsea? I mean, seriously, if Liverpool was really good, I would like to see them win at Boro (which they drew), and win the 'non-Euro-Champions-quality team' (which they dont'). Yeah they could be great, but unfortunately that's it - COULD. Win the smaller games and then maybe Liverpool deserves praises.
It's only a matter of time before we start beating the lower quality teams. Once Gerrard and Alonso get going properly in midfield we will create so many chances that even poor strikers will get 20 a season.
spurs fan you play with kids dont you i`ll find you where ever you are so stop talking shit i bet if you asked any spurs player last season they would wank off in front of there mam to win champs league i mean ossies going wembley at least we got anfield rap
