Carra expects Cisse to be a big hit
Cisse's Liverpool career has been stop start so far and he has failed to set the world alight. However Carra is convinced Djib will start producing great performances for us soon:
"Djibril is going to be a big hit, it is just a matter of time," insisted Carragher.
"With his two goals, he won the European Super Cup alone and showed all his determination.
"That is the same determination he showed to recover from his awful injury.
"When it happened, he told us he would play again before the end of the season. Frankly, it made us laugh but he is so strong in his state of mind and he did it."
Carra has great footballing knowledge so he knows a good player when he sees one. I'm hoping Rafa will give Djib the backing and playing time he needs to develop into the player who was once tipped to become better then Henry.

i think cisse is better than henry i dont know why hes not performing and i also think the Rafa should give him more chance to prove him self.he can also play on the right wing and he can deliver some great crosses
He is a great player and he loves our club. Anyone see the suit he got married in FFS! What a legend!
He hasn't exactly been treated the best since Rafa joined, being played out of position and the constant Transfer speculations fuelled by the Daily (Toilet Roll) Papers which I'm sure has been having a knock on effect on a player who should be a prolific striker for our club. I don't wanna see him on the right. I wanna see him zipping thru the opposition with the ball stuck to his feet attacking straight down the middle, rounding the keeper. Lying down on his belly and nodding the ball over the line with his nose. FFS! With a squad like ours he should be playing up front especially considering the quality and depth of passing/crossing we have within the ranks.
It does look like he'll be leaving in January, but then again I've just read The Sun!
SO IT MUST BE TRUE!
He does need a chance to prove himself. And when he does I hope he takes the bit between his teeth and goes for it. If he is on top form he'll do the business for us. But he does need the support of his manager, which I'm not too sure he's getting.
I think a big part of the problem here is that Rafa has spent a lot of time shoring up the defense - just look at all the stick he got for the zonal marking on set pieces last year. This is now something that works, and the reason for that is that this is the area on which Rafa has focused. Making the team not conceding those "stupid" goals has been priority no. 1 for Rafa, and to accomplish this he has opted for a very defensive system that requires our midfielders to help out. This leads to lower positions on the pitch, and with that comes the implementation of Crouch as lone striker as he can prolong the lenght of the team on the pitch with 10 yards.
The effects of this thinking can also be seen in the games where we've used Crouch - the midfielders have left him stranded on far too many occasions, and thus our attacking possibilities have been limited. Since the defense is what Rafa wants to correct first, this has led to Crouch becoming the "natural" choice for striker as he is much better equipped to deal with the lone striker role than Cissé is.
I think, that once Rafa is confident that the defense is solid - and a sense of defensive security is present in the squad - he will start allowing the midfielders to start their runs from more advanced positions, which will lead to more attacking options. In a scenario like that, it makes more sense to use Cissé than it does now, and this is why I believe that Cissé could indeed be part of Rafa's plans and could indeed be given more chances in the coming games.
Rafa is a manager with an obsession for organization and control, and that always starts at the back. When that has been instilled in the side, he can start tinkering with more attacking varieties, but as things look now he's still relying on the midfielders to help the defenders out, and when they get pushed back doing that it's easier to play with a pure target man up front rather than a strong runner like Cissé. When the defensive positions are in place, the midfielders will be given more license to wreak havoc, bringing them closer to where the action should be (in the end Liverpool's attacking}. Then the games would be more suited for Cissé, and then he will be given more chances.
Of course, I could be completely wrong. But that's what I think Rafa's on about...
I think Cisse needs confidence, and a chance to play with Crouch up front..with that he will get the support and be our greatest scoring asset.
All talk of sellign him wld be a travesty as imo..he a brillant player
