Stevie ready to use home advantage
Stevie Gerrard is looking forward to the Chelsea game stating that a win will enable us to take charge of the group:
"The game against Chelsea is massive," said Gerrard. "You don't have to get any of the lads up for that. We know how important the two games are but we've got to think about the European match first.
"If we can get a good result in that one, it will put us in the driving seat in the group.
"I will relish the challenge. Big games like this are what you want to play in. They don't come bigger than Liverpool versus Chelsea in the Champions League.
"I think the pressure is on us to get a result. You've got to take points at home. We've got to put in a good performance or we will get turned over."
Gerrard was on fine form against Birmingham. Another similar performance will do nicely. It will also show Chelsea exactly what they missed out on following Gerrard's transfer U turn in the summer.

Two games against Chelsea are extremely important for Liverpool. Sort of last chance saloon. You can clearly see hysteria in Liverpool camp, and "cool as cucamber" approach of Jose.
At least two draws are required. If Liverpool get draw in CL and lose PL game, then Liverpool will not finish in top 4 in PL. Two loses and fat Rafa with G-rod and Alonso off to Real, and Liverpool slip into Spuds-like level.
I bet you will hate Chelsea even more after this week.
Dig it, scousers!
