Time to kickstart our season

The game tonight offers a perfect opportunity to show why we are the European Champions and get our season up and running. A victory will state our intent to retain our trophy and show the win last year was not a one off.
If we start the game at breakneck speed propelled by the Anfield roar we can knock Chelsea off their efficient stride. Hopefully we can grab a goal or two and then slow the game down using the composure and passing ability of Alonso. In the second half at Stamford Bridge last season we were in command for the last twenty minutes with Gerrard and Alonso bossing the midfield area there is nothing to suggest this can't be repeated.
I'm hoping we will see better signs of the team being able to offer support to Peter Crouch. He has been far too isolated in attack in our previous games. There is no point lumping the ball up there for him to win in the air if there is no one to move onto his flick ons. It's unlikely to happen but hopefully Rafa will select Cisse to play alongside him.
Defensively I think Rafa will opt for Traore as he prefers his experience in the European games. Pep Reina will need to have recovered from his mistake at the weekend as he is likely to be test from crosses particulary if Drogba plays. It will be interesting to see if Rafa selects Josemi or Finnan. I'm sure he favours his countryman as Finnan did enough to make the spot his own last season.
I'm prediciting a very tight game and another 1-0 victory. Hopefully the goal will be less controversial this time to keep maureen quiet.
