Berbatov would like England move
After the news last week that we had made an enquiry for Berbatov in the summer the player's agent has told Skysports.com that he would be interested in playing in the Premiership:
"I am aware of the interest in Dimitar," Dantchev told skysports.com.
"I have seen the reports of interest from England and I know there is also interest from other clubs.
"I have received nothing official from any English clubs, but Dimitar is a key player at Bayer Leverkusen and he is scoring goals for club and country.
"Dimitar has been at Leverkusen for five years and he is happy there, but he would be interested in a move to England if he received an offer.
"It would depend on a club agreeing a deal with Bayer Leverkusen."
Dimitar would have no problem moving to England, but it would have to be to a top club.
"It is not necessary that he moves it would have to be to a team and manager that really wants him."
There were reports over the weekend that we are still after a striker. Berbatov would certainly be a good addition to our side. He has an impressive goalscoring record in the Bundesliga and has scored 19 goals in 33 Internationals for Bulgaria.

Remind me who are the European Champions? Some of you illeterates don't fully understand football. Ask Berbatov what he saw when Liverpool thumped Leverkusen 6-2 on aggregate last season. We'll talk again when the knockout stage of the Champions League come about again. Ask some of the coaches across Europe and most will not wan't to cross path with Liverpool.

i have been largely disappointed with our performances this season. we have really only come up against 2 good teams this season, spurs and chelsea. got an excellent point at spurs but they did have a completel new side who hadnt had time to gel. as for the chelsea game, men against boys. give benni till xmas then show him the door before he blows our transfer kitty on more wasters like crouch
A few over the top comments here. particularly the one from Naveed. we want benitez out say we want benitez out!
very flattering to have other team's fans here commenting about liverpool. just shows how much we are on their minds even though they profess to hate liverpool or talk crap, it's still flattering all the same. Liverpool are the champions and just because there are more people talking about liverpool than there are about other teams doesn't make it a bad thing.
Now, to the topic at hand. I feel Berbatov would be a very good striker for Liverpool but I can't see it happening especially if Cisse gets more games and scores more goals.
