Liverpool V Blackburn Prediction

The game tomorrow is very important again in terms of getting our Premiership season up and running. We have only registered one win in seven games and that was against a newly promoted side. Blackburn are a difficult team to break down as they proved in the 0-0 draw last season. They are also on a good run at present and have been boosted by their win at Old Trafford.
We will need to play at a high tempo from the start to put them under enough pressure to create chances. As Rafa has said we have been a bit unlucky in front of goal this season. Our finishing will need to be more clinical. Hopefully Rafa will decide to select two up front to prevent Peter Crouch being too isolated. Unfortunately Steven Gerrard will be out injured so the creative play will be built around Xabi. It looks like Momo will be playing the holding role allowing Xabi to play further up the pitch. Provided Xabi has enough options up front he will be able to pick holes in any defence with his vision and passing skills.

WithWolves Prediction:

1-0 win

As we seem unlikely to win games clearly at present I think this will be another tense game. However I'm backing us to score one goal with Xabi as the key man and rely on the defence to keep a clean sheet.

I think this game will finish 0-0. After the poor result against Chelsea Rafa will be keen to keep a clean sheet. I can't see any changes upfront with Crouch playing as the lonely striker. A draw is not a bad result considering that we are missing SG and the only game we won sofar is against 10 men Sunderland
