"A Possibility" that Gerrard may end up as a frontman

Will Gerrard be converted into a centre forward?

"It is a possibility," claims Rafa of the idea of pairing Gerrard in attack alongside Peter Crouch or one of the club's other strikers, "because Stevie is such a good player he can play well in all the positions. I don't know what he's like as a goalkeeper but I do know that he could play every other position in our team and he would actually play well in whatever position he was asked to play in. "I would see Steven more as a second striker than a target man though. He's very athletic, full of energy and with a good brain to time his runs into the box. He gives us possibilities as a second striker but if he did decide to play as a lead striker, I don't doubt he'd be a success at that too. "He's been like a new signing for us this summer. All last season I had to answer questions about Steven's future but now we can talk about the goals that he can score for us. Steven Gerrard last season was good but this season he's even better. His mind is only on Liverpool and you can see that. You can see he is scoring goals, passing well and playing well. He is already a better player than he was some months ago."

Hopefully in a few months he will be even better still if its possible!
