Andrade available for transfer
Jorge Andrade, the impressive Portuguese defender, who has been linked with us previously, will be available as he has a £ 16 million buyout clause in his contract. Depor's president Cesar Lendoiro has hinted in an interview with skysports.com that he may be willing to sell at a lower price. Unfortunately it also appears Chelsea are interested which will make any deal very hard for us:
"I have received propositions for the player for many months but sincerely the money reflecting his real value has not arrived," Lendoiro informed skysports.com."The great clubs from England and Europe are open to negotiate."Now everybody knows our demands."
Andrade himself says he will only move if he's told to:
"I insist I am very happy in La Coruna," he affirmed. "But the decision belongs to the club."To play for a great European team would be beautiful. "Chelsea? I know Jose Mourinho but I do not have any more news."
Hopefully Rafa will be able to use his negotiating skills to convince him to join us. I'm encouraged that he wants to play for a great European team as this should rule Chelsea out.

It has never been in the clubs mind to bring in a defender for 16 million£. But if we are after an expencive defender I rather want Lugano. Other than I do believe that a winger is a top-priority.
I agree with hankhill, you've gotta need a check up from the neck up to spend that much cash on a defender!
