Joaquin speculation returns
A report in the Independent today has claimed Betis will sell Joaquin to Liverpool for £ 7 million plus Nando.
There is a reasonable chance that Joaquin may move in the January transfer window if Betis fail to qualify for the knockout stages of the champions league.
Rafa does not have too much money to spend so a part exchange deal may be the only way of signing players of Joaquin's value. Although, somewhat surprisingly, Rafa did deny any interest in Joaquin maybe, and hopefully, this was just to stop the speculation from getting out of hand.

Part of me does not want this to happen as I think that Moro can come good. I really think that his progress has been badly hampered by injuries. However, I would let him go in a trade for a good quality striker who will score a shedload for us. Maybe Newcastle would be interested at the end of the summer............
i have to agree - we definitely havent seen the best from nando. Ideally id like to see them both at the club. with service from the likes of Gonzales, Joaquin, Zenden and Kewellwed finally have the kind of winger options weve needed to get the service in to people like nando and crouch.
How about Crouch plus cash instead of Nando? :)

The kind of movement and passing we played in the West Ham and Anderlecht games made me drool. No small measure due to Gerrard's move which unclogged the midfield. SG fits the roving midfielder role, he's less suited to center midfield than ALonso with our existing players.
