Crouch set for debut against Tottenham

After making a reserve appearance last night Peter Crouch is hopeful of making his Premiership debut for us against Spurs. He had this to say about his return:
"I have had a couple of days training and the plan was for me to play for 25 minutes. I felt good and I came through without any problems and I now want to get myself fit and ready for the Tottenham game. "With the international break I will be able to get another week's training under my belt. It was frustrating being injured so soon after arriving at Liverpool but I always knew I was suspended for the first two Premiership games anyway. "I can't wait to make my Premiership debut for Liverpool and I will be working hard to make sure I will be ready for the Tottenham game."
It looks like Rafa will have plenty of options when Crouch returns. At present I think our best strike force would be Crouch & Cisse. Crouch can knock the ball down for Cisse to run onto using his electric pace.
Please comment on our options up front and who you think Rafa will select.

Crouch was at spurs and we let him go for small change, since he has gone for millions.....
Makes you play in a certain way commonly known as 'hoof it to the big lad' Ugly and occasionally effective.

Cisse I rate. Fear him more than Owen

Given a chance, I believe Cisse and Crouch may flourish…
Also obtaining very skilful wide-men (left and right) would even better facilitate the C&C partnership. However, disappointingly that is too late now, it seems??

LIVERPOOL need skilful wide-men to supply the AMMO!!

I am a Spurs fan, and to be honest you are all excited about a gangly streak of piss and Cisse who can only turn it on when he is threatened with the door.

With the transfer window closed and all you superstars tucked up in their mansions thinking of their next money-spinning transfer, you have got no chance.

P.S. Not that we are any better !

Oh well, seeing as you put it so persuasively with flowing, logical argument, perhaps rafa should indeed forfeit the match against 'spurs'.

(ps lads - only 6 more years til the year ends in '1')
