Crouch to make reserves return

After missing out on Owen we have a received a welcome boost as Peter Crouch will be on the bench tonight for the reserves. Bearing in mind that Crouch scored 16 goals for relegated Southampton last season it will be interesting to see how he does for us in comparison to Owen. Who do you think will score more goals in the Premiership Owen or Crouch?

Owen for sure.
Remember that also Heskey scored alot before he joined us. Rafa signed Crouch because he's big and fits 4-5-1 system, but he wont score more then max 10 goals.

Heskey never scored many. It was Ged's boast that he would turn him into a 20-goal a season striker, if you remember. Let's see how many times golden boy gold-digger mickey's hamstring goes this season. And I don't think he deserves a warm welcome at Anfield.

you should all give crouchy a chance, as a southampton fan i remember questioning why we signed him from villa but if you give him half a chance he will score you goals and he also creates chances as well, something that you need judging by your teams performance in the super cup

I watched Crouch a few times from the stands for saints any i have to say i had him written off as a clown to start with, how wrong i was, he may look very awkward, but he is skilled up to the teeth and with the confidence he'll gain from a move to Liverpool i reckon that by mid-season he'll be a firm favourite with the Kop i reckon him for 12-15 goals this season and if they keep him into next year he'll be 20+ easily
