Carra ready for Man U test

Jamie Carragher has stated that if we want to be part of the title race then a win against Man U today is paramount:

"We beat Sunderland at home and I think a draw was a fair result at Tottenham. We played well at Middlesbrough and should have won the game, so we're probably two points short of where we deserve to be at the moment. "I would say we've made a decent start to this season. We've got two tough away games out of the way without losing and now we can look forward to the Man United game. "It's important to get the three points because we want to move up the table. We're a couple of games behind most teams and so we're not as high in the league as we'd like to be, but if we win on Sunday then we can start moving forward. "If we beat Man United then not only will it be a great psychological boost for us, but I also think it will send out a message to the rest of the Premiership that we're going to be in there fighting for this title. "Of course we know it's going to be difficult because United are a great side with a lot of excellent players but we're certainly confident ahead of the game. "It's going to be a hard game but I know it's the one all our fans look forward to at the start of the season and so they'll be up for it. Hopefully we can get the three points and turn a decent start to the season into a good one."

There is no doubt that if everyone can show the same commitment as Carra today then we should get the three points.
