Garcia looking to improve further

Luis Garcia has made an important impact since his arrival from Barca las year. He patricularly enjoys playing in Europe and his goals were pivotal in our victory last season. He is not ready to rest on his laurels though and has promised even better performances this season:

" I think this is going to be a good season for me because this is my second one. In my first season in England I was learning about the English football in a new team with new team-mates. "I have to always do my best and try and do much better than last year. I know what I have to do and I have changed some things to my game. I think this season will be much better for me. "I know I scored 13 goals last season which wasn't bad but but I think I can do a lot better this season. Everyone can be better and this season I will try to be better and I will do it."

Garcia carried on his European goalscoring exploits in Seville on Tuesday and was delighted with the strike:

"It is always nice to score goals and it was a nice goal. I know that Bolo Zenden always likes to cross early and I just tried to arrive before the defender which I managed to do. I think it was a very good goal because it was the second goal and it gave us the opportunity to control the game. "It was a very good win because we knew it would be a very difficult game against Real Betis. They have some very good players but we got the win and now we can look forward to the next game."

I still feel that Garcia is adapting to the English game and has been surprised by the physical side of the game. However he is very talented and I'm sure he will prove to be a key Premiership player as well soon.
