Gerrard: Time to break into top three

Stevie G has had enough of us being classed as a mediocre Premiership team. He desperately wants us to change the top three into a top four and believes today's game is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate that this can be done:

"Domestically, people only ever speak about the top three teams - and I'm sick of hearing that,"
"We need to break up this so-called top three. It hurts when people talk about Chelsea, United and Arsenal - and Liverpool don't get a mention.
"This season, we have to prove we can get among them.
"We are playing United on Sunday and have games with Chelsea coming up, so these next few weeks give us a chance to make a statement.
"We may be the European champions but it is the Premiership where our priority is.
"We had a great season in Europe last season but the league was very disappointing.
"We are desperate to show we're improving and make sure Liverpool get a mention when people talk of the title."

I think its just a case of Rafa getting to know the Premiership. As soon as he has adapted to the playing style here he will have the tactical ability to guide the team towards the very top.
