Crouch Ready to Take On Tottenham

Peter Crouch has declared himself fit for action at White Hart Lane on Saturday. Following the injury to Morientes this is a welcome boost. Crouch had this to say about his fitness:

"I'd like to think I'll be ready for Tottenham. I've come through a reserve game OK.
"It was only 25 minutes but I've got some training under my belt and I'm sure I'll be ready to go.
"I was suspended for the first two games anyway which was frustrating.
"Getting the hamstring injury was a blow but I can't wait to make my Premiership debut for Liverpool."

Hopefully he will partner Cisse up front now the Frenchman has recovered from his ankle strain.

THINK TOTTENHAM COULD BEAT US 2 OR 3 NIL. CANT SEE OUR STRIKERS TROUBLING THEIR DEFENCE ESPECIALLY IF KING IS BACK. STEVIE G IS NOT PLAYING WELL AND THINK DAVIDS AND CARRICK COULD END UP BOOSING MIDFIELD.

I really dont expect Liverpool to win on saturday - Gerrard is having a nightmare at the moment and cisse and Crouch have to be the biggest waste of money in the league!! With Davids/Carrick /Jenas controlling midfield and defore and Rasiak up front I think spurs will win easily 2 or 3 nil!!!

agree i think this will be our first defeat. but will probably only be by the odd goal. tottenham looked good against chelsea till they had a man wrongly sent off. got a horrible feeling rasiak will score the winner.

who cares if tottenham win - were from liverpool, we can just get our own back by nicking some cars after the game..were from liverpool and we love to do this dont we fellow scousers!

As a Spurs fan I have to say I think some of you on here are worrying unnecessarily. Sure Spurs are playing better but our inconsistency is legendary. Even with our new players I don't think it'll be easy to predict the result of this match.

I think the two sides are fairly equal in strength and either a 0-0 or low score draw is the more likely result. By the way, I don't think King will be ready to play on Saturday as he's only just started training again. Our CBs will be Dawson and Gardner who between them should be able to cope with Crouch's height.

Did you know Crouch is a former Spur? He was rejected by us as a teenager and sold to QPR for £60k.
Whether that decision proves to be right or not only time will tell.

Let's be more optimistic. With our midfield we are always likely to dominate the midfield. We just need to be more clinical when we get the chances.

You people have short memories. Remember Liverpool kids putting Spurs out of Carling Cup.

should be a fantastic game.... bothe teams should be battling it out for 4th place at the end of the season so this could be a 6 pointer.
anyside that has gerrard and alonso in will create problems but the tottenham midfield is one of the tightest around now with davids, carrick , jenas and tianio all fighting for a place.
im predicting a 2-1 home win.

Im well scared of playing spurs on saturday.
I think they are just too strong for us right now.
I think the best we can hope for is a draw, which would be a fantastic result for us.

Right im out for a pickpocketing mission. Laters

I am the Spurs fan who posted at 12.06.

Well surprise, surprise here's another football blog that has degenerated into a schoolboy slanging match. What is it with you people are you so illiterate and ignorant that you can not have a a decent exchange of views about football without resorting to petty and immature name calling?

I am a third generation Spurs man and first attended WHL in 1967! So I have witnessed most of the success Spurs have had in the last almost 40 years.

But, more important than that I am a football fan and enjoy exchanging views with other team's supporters irrespective of what team they support.

I am always the first to admit that Spurs have won nothing worth talking about in recent years but with some luck that could change in the very near future.

On Liverpool winning the Champions League, well I was delighted for them and probably just has happy when that third goal went in as any Liverpool fan. Why, because I could appreciate they way in which Liverpool battled themselves back into the game. If they had lost the penalty shootout I would have been disappointed for them but whatever the result was I had the satisfaction of having watched a superb game of football.
