Youngster Recognised as Great Talent

Ramon Calliste has been tipped, by Wales U21 boss Brian Flynn, to have a good future in the game. Calliste arrived at an Anfield having been discarded by Man United. Flynn had this to say about the young striker:

"It's a God-given chance for the lad, I hope he takes it. "He has had an eventful summer. It was a difficult time for him. At one stage it looked like he was going to Colchester and then he ends up at Liverpool. "Let's hope he progresses. Maybe he wants to prove a point to Manchester United by doing well at Liverpool. The ball is in his court. "He has great talent; he's just 19 with ability, pace and an eye for goal. When we played Germany 12 months ago he impressed everybody on the night in a difficult role up front. "But with the ability he has got he must have a chance of making it. He needs advice and help, it's not just an iron fist but also an arm around his shoulders sometimes. "I met him a few times in the summer to discuss his future and I do that with lots of the lads if I can help. I just hope Ramon takes this great chance to make something of his career."

I'm sure he is in the right place at Liverpool to be given the required attention to progress.
