Sven makes Crouch World Cup hint

Sven has praised Peter Crouch and intimated that the alternative options he offers may well stand him in good stead for a place in the world cup squad."Peter Crouch signed for Liverpool and that was a very big step for him, but he has shown he was ready for it," said the England manager. "He started well, then was injured but has done well again since coming back into the team. "He certainly gives something completely different for a manager.

If Crouch can repeat his goalscoring form of last season he will definitely be in the world cup squad and everyone who criticised he signing will look very silly.

He fully deserves to be in the england squad as he has made a great start to his LFC career.
The impression i get with crouch is he is not that much of a 'confidence player'. What i mean is, ok he hasn't scored, but he seems to be thriving for liverpool by just holding up the ball and showng his flicks and some sublime first touches and the fact he is probably taking pleasure in proving to people he is more than just a very tall target man to hoof the ball up to. I mean his reverse pass to Zenden last week was great and if it had been robben or rooney the media would have been purring about it.
I am sure once his first goal arrives others will soon follow. Its been a long time since LFC had a player like this were by he gives us a totally new option. The midfielders, especially gerrard, kewell and garcia wil soon be thriving off his hold up play and knock downs.

As you can gather, i am encouraged by the start he has made, even if the goals are yet to happen!

Also, i think its 3 points tomorrow.
