Rafa blames defeat on missed chances

Rafa feels that the defeat to Fulham was yet another case of the result not reflecting the performance:
"If you control the game as we did today, normally you don't lose. Today it is difficult to explain. I thought we deserved goals," said Benitez.
"The first half we controlled the game - think how many opportunities they had. Just two free-kicks and the goal.
"We had lot of possession and they created almost nothing - but we were losing 1-0 after the first half. We had a very good second half. We created good chances but did not score.
"I thought in the second half we played really well and we had to score but in the second half their goalkeeper (Warner) was their best player."
"We need to improve our performances to win games. And that means scoring goals. Today you can see how many chances we created but we did not score. We have to score," he said.
"But I am thinking about the Carling Cup and Crystal Palace now. We will continue working."

Our recent Premiership form is very worrying. The only victories we have managed are against a promoted team and ten man Blackburn. Hopefully Rafa will come up with a solution sooner rather than later or we will have a tough task to even qualify for the Uefa Cup.

It might be too early in the season but 10 points out of possible 24 is not good enough. It will very hard qualifing for europe this year. With 10 weeks, the first quarter of the season passed and we have 10 ten points. Considering the goal scored this season we are the worst team after our neighbours, 4 points away from the relegation yes relegation zone. Crisis what are we talking about? if we win 18 out of the 20 league games after the christmas ,when we have Gonzales, then a place in Europe next season will be guaranteed. One last thing for Rafa would you please stop telling us how we controlled games because that is **** ****

I feel we lack Confidence in the Premiership.. something is missing and it is irritating. The players dun seem to have the passion to play in the premiership and lack that killer instinct..only time will tell if our lack of the 'killer tocuh' will cost us

So come on ya reds!!

players actually worthy of playing for liverpool:

GK reina dudek
LB
RB finnan
CB carra hyypia
CM gerrard alonso hamann sissoko
RW
LW
CF garcia kewell
ST cisse crouch morientes

playing 1 striker is stupid.

we have no wingers: 2 options, kewell + garcia as wingers (don't kid yourself; it isn't a good option) or 3 CM on the pitch - hamann in DM and garcia/kewell as support striker.
