Crouch predicting more European success
Peter Crouch believes that although we are too far behind Chelsea to win the title, we can successfully defend our European crown:
"The Champions League is one thing but, of course, there's a big gap between us and Chelsea in the league.
"Our summer signings need to bed down. Once that happens I know we're capable of closing the gap. It may take time to mirror Chelsea's Premiership form but we can only get stronger and stronger.
Crouch is still very excited by his move to Liverpool and expects to win some trophies during his time at Anfield:
"Liverpool are traditionally the biggest club in England and I came in on the back of a Champions League win. So it's been unbelievable - completely manic!
"Through playing regularly at a club like Liverpool success will come naturally. I truly believe that I'll win honours with this side."
He added: "I don't think the Champions League success was a one-off. It'll be difficult to win it again but to know we are even competing for it is exactly the reason I joined such a magnificent club.
"It's my first taste of the Champions League and I've really enjoyed it. We're in a very tough group and the next Chelsea game will be key.
"But the lads played exceptionally well in Europe last year and we just have to carry that on."
Hopefully Crouch will start scoring soon or his chances of winning honours with Liverpool will wane.
