Rafa urges youngsters to choose Liverpool

Rafa has explained why Liverpool FC is the one of the best choices for young players. He had this to say on Liverpoolfc.tv:

"In every country, it's similar. Some of the bigger capital cities are more impersonal, while in a city which isn't so big, like Liverpool, there is more warmth, personality and kindness," said Benitez. "It depends on the player, of course, but some players prefer to come to places where they can have more privacy. "We are a team that's improving and we are signing players for the future with a good attitude, enthusiasm and quality. "If you're a young player, the only way to improve is to play regularly. I hope good young players will be attracted to coming here where they could have a chance to play more games than at other big clubs."

Rafa has also had a dig at agents for tempting youngsters by mentioning the money involved. Obviously this is a major factor with Chelsea now trying to also corner the market for talented youngsters.

He added: "You can be surprised when you speak about a young player how much an agent talks about money. It's unbelievable. "We have been talking to a lot of young players. You can talk to them for the first time and be quoted £1m. The second time you go back, people start talking about £5m. You know at that moment, the player isn't the kind of person you should sign. "If people are talking about money at a young age, they don't have the right motivation. "With the best players, it's not about money. Some agents we have spoken to about players have told us their player would rather not go to Chelsea, but would prefer to join another club. "Scott Carson is a good example, as both Liverpool and Chelsea were interested, but he chose Liverpool."

Hopefully Scott Carson is the first of many.
