Crouch desperate for goals

Peter Crouch has admitted his desperation to score his first goal for us even though he claims it has not affected his performances. He feels he is lacking the necessary luck required at the moment but is still hopeful he will get off the mark soon:

"Everyone seems to be willing me to get that first goal and the fans here have been so great with me since I joined. I'm taking confidence from that," says Crouch. "I'm desperate to score and I'm certain it's going to come soon. I'm sure of it, so long as I keep working hard and getting in the right positions. "I've not been unduly affected by the criticism because of our fans' support. It has taken me aback just how negative other people have been. I suppose that's what happens if you don't get on the scoresheet and I'm learning that when you join a high profile club you become an instant target."
"I was gutted I couldn't get that first goal on Saturday because I had the chances," he adds. "I was delighted Xabi finished off the second, but I must admit I wanted it to be me celebrating a goal. I'm glad I played a part in the win, but obviously I'd have loved to have scored when I had the chance. "I thought I had it just before the second, but it was a great block by Mellberg. I'm not sure how he got there, but it just seems to be the way it's going for me at the moment."

lacking the necessary luck and skill. a truly awful player who is well out of his depth at both premiership and international level. the fact that his liverpool team mates are not much better doesnt help his cause

is it me or is this markfernandes just a twat who probably supports a second rate team like everton and is jealous of the mighty reds major contribution to english and european football over the past 30 something years?

ACTUALLY I AM FROM SPAIN AND HAVE BEEN A REAL MADRID FAN FOR THE LAST 22 YEARS. MAKES YOUR COMMENT LOOK STUPID. LIVERPOOL ARE NOT RATED IN SPAIN . THEY MAY HAVE SOME SPANISH PLAYERS BUT ARE STILL VIEWED AS A JOKE. AND I THINK YOU WILL FIND WE HAVE A BETTER HISTORY IN EUROPE THAN YOU.
