Kirkland wouldn't mind West Brom stay

After being allowed to leave on loan Chris Kirkland has said that if Liverpool don't welcome him back he would be happy to remain at Albion. He had this to say to West Brom's official website:
"As far as I'm concerned, I'm a West Brom player now.
"I'm here for the year and what will happen when my loan finishes, I don't know.
"It's up to Liverpool and I need to know what they want to do first before I make my mind up. "But I can't see any reason not to make my move to Albion permanent.
"It might be out of my hands because I don't know what Liverpool are thinking and I'll have to wait and see what they want at the end of the season.
"But if the opportunity came up then I would have no hesitation."
He added: "The team spirit is fantastic here and that had a big part in Albion staying up last season.
"If it hadn't have been as good as it is, they would probably have gone down.
"There are good players here and they have made me feel very welcome. My family are also down here and it just feels right.
"If I have to go back to Liverpool, I'll have to concentrate on them again.
"But until that comes, I'm not a Liverpool player anymore.
"I'm a West Brom player and I want to do everything to make sure we have a good season."
He concluded: "I don't regret moving to Liverpool.
"They've got Jerzy [Dudek] and Scott [Carson] and have brought Jose [Reina] from Spain.
"But that's football and I'm not bitter about that.
"I'm just delighted to be down at West Brom and all I want is to do well for them.
"They took a chance on me because I'd not played for eight or nine months in the league before that.
"I had a serious operation on my back as well so West Brom took a gamble and hopefully I can repay them for that."

It looks like Reina will certainly establish himself as our number one and it will be difficult for Kirkland to return. I hope that whatever happens to Kirkland in the future he can put his injuries woes behind him and fulfill his massive potential.
