Alonso pleased with Crouch signing
Xabi Alonso has spoken about our strikeforce claiming they will cause opponents all types of problems:"Peter Crouch was a particularly good signing and I'm sure he'll be a big help to us in trying to win all the competitions this year.
"As everyone knows he is very, very tall and near him I feel very small. People will talk about Peter Crouch in a positive way this season and I think he will go on to play many more games for England.
"But Crouch is not only a target man - he also has very good quality on the ball. With Fernando Morientes and Crouch we can have the best attack in the country. They will make life crazy for opposition defenders this season, along with Djibril Cisse of course."
Alonso is in a good position to judge as he knows a thing or two about being good on the ball.
