Joaquin wants to join the Rafalution
Joaquin has expressed a desire to join the European Champions. It seems that the Spanish lads have been doing a good recruitment job whilst on International duty. Joaquin had this to say about filling our right midfield vacancy:
"I know Liverpool are looking for a right winger and I'd love to play there if they want me," the Spaniard told the News of the World.
"Liverpool are a massive club and Rafael Benitez knows what he wants."
The Betis winger added: "But if Benitez comes in for me he's got to agree a deal with the Betis president."
We would all love Joaquin to play on our right wing as well. He would probably cost in the region of £ 20 million however Rafa stated the other day that he would only pay lots of money to buy the best. Joaquin certianly fits into this category.

I read this on teletext yesterday,and i think we should jump at the chance of signing a quality player like him!20 MILLION would be money well spent as it would be an investment really as he is still young!His pace would suit the premiership and he would hit the ground running!i think we should try sigm him in the jan transfer window!even if he cant play in the champs league it wouldnt matter as we could use a player like that in the premiership!
So i say David Moores should get hie cheque book out!
I agree that we should buy him even it means out bidding the rest of the others.Without width we are just another team trying to stay in the PSL.20 million or 30 millions what is the different if you are buying quality.look at Real Madrid and Chelsea they pay way above market related prices so no other team can get the best.We need him because he will be an assest to the team.He is todays most expensive buy but only to be tomorrow`s bargain buy.Come Rafa show them you got what it takes to buy out side your budget.

better get him before silly Newcastle tries to buy him for 30 million quid! look what they paid for Owen. 1) Overpaid. 2) T hey don't even have the supply to get him the goals!

I am sure Joaquin would benefit the team but he could simply be flagging his availability to Real and Barcelona.
Easy guys. . .Yes he is a great player but there are others. Should we really spend 20 million on one man when we also need a central defender who may well also cost another 5-10 million?
Maybe if we get through the group stages of the Champions league but Rafa is very careful with our money and rightly so I think.
I hope that's not the case. I think Real have no money to spend at present and Chelsea seem to be happy now they have Wright Phillips. We should at least make an effort to sign him in January.
You lot have got no chance of getting him. Both Chelsea and Newcastle have bid more than £20m and were refused by the Betis board. What makes you think Luckypool would even get a sniff by bidding less? On top of that, I doubt he'd leave Betis to come and play alongside the likes of Rodney Trotter (Crouch)!
He's angling for a move to Real or Barca without a doubt after Chelsea backed out.

If a player says he wants to leave a club cant keep them there against their wishes,He said he wants to join us so why not?
The player even said himself that its not about money but about whether the move would be right for him,ruling out a move to chelsea or real madrid as he says he wouldnt want to go there!
Plus this is the first time he has said a club that he would like to join!
The fact that he's repeatedly said he wants to stay in Spain would probably rule out any move to Liverpool, Chelsea or Newcastle...Liverpool have been linked with hundreds of players this year - but have landed Crouch, Zenden and Sissosko. There was even talk of Liverpool signing Gallas which I think is just laughable.

There's no chance we'll buy him. After all we are very very poor and he would be too expensive.
players always say they are happy where they are until there is a bid put in from a club they say he wouldnt mind joining!
they have to for the fact they have to keep the fans,board and other players happy.
i think it will be a different story in jan,and even more so when betis are no longer in the champs league,i dont see them qualifying with us and scum-bag fc.....i mean chelsea in the group aswell,they will look to cash in!
i see him as a great player and i will be happy iv we sign him but we could buy gallas and joe cole less than 20m so we buy 2 players in a different positions we need
Is it just me, or do anyone else think he looks a bit like Gerrard?? Just a thought.
