Gonzalez will join Reds

Mark Gonzalez is still set to become a Liverpool player. He was initially going to join on loan in August but was refused a work permit. He has now returned to back to Albacete in the Spanish second division. They have issued a statement in connection with the transfer:

"The Chilean player will wear the number 12 shirt after reaching an agreement with Liverpool. Mark will play for Albacete until he receives his work permit. That could happen on one of two dates - in January or on June 30."

Hopefully Speedy Gonzalez will arrive in January.
