Djib frustrated by lack of chances
Rafa seems to be neglecting our record signing as he favours playing 4-5-1 with Peter Crouch upfront. When Djib is selected he is played out of position on the right. Understandably Djib is not too pleased about the situation and has suggested that if he is not a first team regular by December he will speak to Rafa perhaps regarding a move away:
"It is true I have achieved a very good start to the season, with a lot of goals," Cisse told France Football.
"It is frustrating to not be always in the starting XI. But the coach makes his choices.
"I didn't have any talks with him about that, he didn't give me any explanations, but I have a normal relationship with him.
"I accept his choices, we will see later. I am patient.
"Obviously, I won't spend the whole season on the bench, but we are just at the start of the competition.
"It is a period for experimentation. The coach is trying a lot of things, so I have no reason for being worried.
"I am waiting, hoping it won't last too long. If the situation does not evolve, perhaps I will have other words in December."
Personally I think Djib is surprised at present that he is not being selected, but as he is a good pro, he will not moan too much about the situation.

I personally think its horrible to have a good striker on the bench when we lack goals!
And playing 4-5-1 against midlesborough.... COME ON!!!
I could understand 3-5-2 and 4-4-2 but 4-5-1... looks like we arent going to make many goals this season...
I'm sure that Cisse would give us 20+ in leagu if he had the same chanses as Morientes have had (when he was fit). Does anyone belive that Moro will give us 20+?
To experiment with 4-5-1 is one thing. To persist with 4-5-1 in the premiership when it clearly constantly does not work and backfires is quite a different matter. And to leave a world-class striker on the bench - who has scored 6 in 7 - while Crouch has scored none is just adding salt to a wound.
Benitez knows that he is wrong, but pride and stubborness seem to take precedent. We won the champions league, and that was fantastic, but the difference between us and a team like Arsenal or Chelsea, is that they adapt and change formations depending on the opposition. Chelsea play 4-3-3, and incredibly have scored almost double the goals to anyone else. It is not simply down to better players, because we have players that won the CL. It is down to the premiership historically being a more attacking game, and European games more defensive and slow. We will do well in Europe again, but we will be lucky to finish in the top 10 unless Benitez changes the formation and gives Cisse a chance to play no matter what his personal feeling toward Cisse are.
He is the manager, and therefore his job is to choose the best team to win, not the team he gets along with best. When the club pay the millions they do in salaries, to both players and manager, you play your best team and leave friendship off the pitch. Cisse is fantastic. He can never shine from the bench, and I am sorry to say but as good as Benitez is, he is dead wrong on this one. It will unfortunately take us finishing second half of the table and in no competitions next year for him to wake up. Thankfully we are still at the beginning of the season so we have all the time to change our fate, but Benitez needs to get over his illustrious successes and start to fix the problem here and now.
As other teams are getting better and stronger, we are going backward. So what if we drew to Birmingham when we lost last season. Those are games we should be winning 4-0, along with Spurs. Manure I would settle for 2-0 to us, but to have scored 4 in 7 as a team is poor to say the least, with only bottom feeders Everton scoring fewer. The time for change is now, not in january.
I agree , In fact I think every Liverpool supporter out there would agree , Give Cisse a proper run of 10-15 games , I noticed in one of yesterday postings a sample team line up somethjing like this

Our lack of goals is a major embarisment we should have stuffed Boro and maybe squeesed a 1-o over both Spurs and Man u , if only we could have put the ball in the net , forget about the fact 0-0 is an improvement on last year , last year is gone this is this year ,
